The technology, for professional use, is used by Panasonic for its P2 cameras (AVC-Intra P2).

It offers considerably more efficient compression than the original DVCPRO HD Codec: approx. 2:1.

Intra-frame coding (GOP of 1) makes the encoded material easier to move on a computer, and therefore faster to be edited in each frame.
