Composite Signal, it is a single video signal that houses luminance, chrominance, synchronism and burst.

The luminance and chrominance are combined using one of the coding standards – NTSC, PAL or SECAM – to produce composite video.

It is used to compress video analogue, the chrominance is added to the luminance to create a mixed signal that has a good relationship between quality and size.
