Compression ratio

It refers to the transit of the data frequency in a digital video signal without compression to a compressed version. The modern compression technique began with the ITU-R 601 digital component television signal. Generally, the higher the compression range the worse the image quality, the compression range should not be used as the only method to measure the quality of a compressed signal. Given the different types of compression, similar compression can give different qualities in the video signal.
