Satellite Services
TSA has been distributing, for over 30 years, more than 700 TV and radio channels via satellite, as well as providing Internet, LAN, Voice over IP and data services to and from any device worldwide.
Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) offers satellite transmission services for telcos, companies, government organisations, broadcasters… TSA has over 30 years’ experience in the broadcast sector and satellite channels and terrestrial circuits distribution, with more than 700 video and radio channels (including DTH or satellite contributions).
TSA has a wide satellite coverage and on-demand solutions for satellite TV channels. Check the following link for our satellite coverage and, if you don’t find what you need, request your on-demand coverage.
In addition, and within the satellite environment, from TSA B2B VSAT, internet, IP voice and data services in areas where no other connectivity is possible, are also offered. In these environments, managed data services (VSAT) are also available, such as:
Internet Access via satellite and IP Voice
This type of technology allows connectivity in remote areas where no other technology reaches, facilitating universal access to internet, deleting congestion in current networks and reducing the cost of reserving lines or fibres.
Mobility Service
It is applied mainly to Media transports during their mobility
- Maritime: for commercial ships, fishing boats, oil rigs, yachts…
- Ground: it is mainly used in trains, buses and other types of terrestrial transport. In this market, Hispasat is the leading provider of mobility solutions in the railway sector.
- Aeronautical: for commercial and military aircraft, UAVs and helicopters.
Cellular Backhaul
Mobile network operators need the flexibility to deploy or extend their networks in a cost and time efficient way by connecting remote or inaccessible locations via satellite, and TSA can help them with this service.
Emergencies
The ability to deploy critical communications services quickly and easily during disasters makes satellite an ideal medium for such situations, also offered to TSA by its customers.
All these services are carried out through different satellite operators in GEO orbit (KA Sat, Konnect, Viasat) and also through LEO orbit such as Starlink’s B2B services.
