Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales renovates CCMA’s Studio 4
Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) has been selected by the Catalan Corporation of Audiovisual Media (CCMA) to carry out the adaptation of Studio 4 at Sant Joan Despí Audiovisual Production Centre for the production of news programmes. This ambitious project includes the installation of state-of-the-art equipment and the integration of advanced video and audio control systems.
The project aims to adapt and equip the studio for the production of news programmes, integrating cutting-edge technology and enhancing the operational capabilities of the space. Studio 4, with an area of 400 m², will be transformed through the acquisition, installation, integration, and commissioning of advanced audiovisual equipment in both the studio itself and its control rooms.
Among the equipment to be installed are five robotic pedestals for studio cameras, a travelling system with a suspended camera and a 9-metre track-mounted robot, and a spy camera subsystem consisting of PTZ surveillance cameras. For video capture, a SONY ILME-FR7 PTZ camera, the first PTZ camera on the market with interchangeable lenses and cinema-quality, will be included, along with a set of five SONY HDC-3500 broadcast studio cameras and their accessories: remote control panels, optical camera control units, and prompters. In addition, an advanced lighting system with Fresnel lights and various types of LED panels and an audio and video monitoring system will be included.
This equipment will be integrated with existing video and audio control systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation and enabling the production of high quality news content.
To ensure continuous and uninterrupted operation of the studio, TSA offers a two-year warranty and maintenance service after the equipment is commissioned, providing technical support, repairs, and software updates.
This project reaffirms Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales’ commitment to innovation and excellence in the provision of advanced technological services for the audiovisual sector. The modernisation of Studio 4 will enable CCMA to produce high-quality news content, strengthening its position in the audiovisual media field and contributing to the development of critical infrastructure for content production.
