Telefónica showcases TSAmediaHUB to nearly 60 clients at the Aravaca CNSO
The event showcased how the platform enables organizations to centralize, modernize and operate audiovisual workflows through cloud technologies, automation, artificial intelligence and managed services.
On 11 June, Telefónica’s CNSO facilities in Aravaca hosted the TSAmediaHUB Experience, an event at which Telefónica officially introduced TSAmediaHUB to nearly 60 clients and leading professionals from the media, broadcast, sports and corporate sectors.
The event offered attendees a first-hand look at the technological and operational proposition behind TSAmediaHUB, a comprehensive environment designed to centrally manage, process, enrich, operate and distribute audiovisual content in a secure and scalable way.
The agenda focused on some of the key challenges currently facing the audiovisual industry: managing ever-growing volumes of content, modernizing infrastructures, automating processes, incorporating artificial intelligence into workflows, ensuring operational continuity and evolving toward managed service models.
Beyond technology itself, the event highlighted how video, audio, images and metadata can be transformed into valuable assets capable of generating new opportunities for organizations from diverse sectors.
José Luis García Cabrera, Director of Audiovisual Services at Telefónica, opening the event
An end-to-end platform to modernize audiovisual operations
The event was opened by José Luis García Cabrera, Director of Audiovisual Services at Telefónica, who outlined the objectives of the day and the strategic vision behind TSAmediaHUB.
Raquel de las Heras, who hosted the event and was one of its main speakers, together with Juan Antonio Cutillas, then presented the platform’s capabilities and its application across different business scenarios.
TSAmediaHUB brings together, within a single ecosystem, media asset management (MAM), processing and transcoding, automated quality control, AI-powered enrichment, storage, distribution, connectivity and specialized technical operations.
The solution combines infrastructure, technology and audiovisual expertise, enabling each organization to build the model that best suits its needs, whether through cloud, hybrid, on-premises or combined architectures.
This approach makes it possible to centralize fragmented environments, progressively incorporate new capabilities, reduce operational complexity and transition from traditional infrastructures toward more flexible and scalable models.
The platform is hosted in Telefónica’s data center in Spain and is backed by specialized audiovisual teams capable of supporting and operating mission-critical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Francisco Javier Fernández Alemany and José Guerra kicking off the panel discussion
Sport, artificial intelligence and operational continuity
The central part of the agenda featured two sessions dedicated to some of the areas having the greatest impact on audiovisual transformation.
The first panel discussion, entitled Beyond the Game: When Sport Becomes Content, featured José Guerra, Director of Audiovisual Production and Match Operations at LaLiga, and Francisco Javier Fernández Alemany, Sports Producer at Movistar Plus+.
The session explored new models for sports content production and distribution, the growth of multi-platform consumption and the need to create formats tailored to different audiences, channels and viewing moments.
The discussion also addressed the role of technology in the evolution of sports broadcasting and in creating new opportunities for content monetization, personalization and audience engagement.
Asier Anitua and Carlos Rabazo discussing the application of artificial intelligence in audiovisual workflows
The second panel focused on the integration of artificial intelligence into television and production workflows. Carlos Rabazo, Digital Transformation Manager at Telefónica, and Asier Anitua, Business Development and Innovation Manager within the Audiovisual Services area, analyzed how these technologies can be applied to processes such as cataloging, metadata generation, content identification, task automation, subtitling, translation and advanced search across audiovisual archives.
The event concluded with a presentation by Agustín Cárdenas, Director of Marketing for Large Enterprises at Telefónica, who introduced TITAN Connect as a backup connectivity solution designed to strengthen the availability and continuity of mission-critical services.
A visit to the environment powering TSAmediaHUB
The agenda also included a guided tour of the CNSO facilities, where attendees were able to discover the technological and operational environment from which TSAmediaHUB services are delivered.
The visit demonstrated how processing, storage, connectivity, monitoring and operational capabilities are integrated within TSAmediaHUB, together with the security, redundancy and continuity mechanisms required to manage highly critical audiovisual services.
Attendees were able to see that TSAmediaHUB is not simply a technology platform, but a service delivery model that combines specialized infrastructure, advanced audiovisual tools, connectivity and teams with extensive experience in operating complex environments.
A flexible model for organizations across multiple sectors
TSAmediaHUB builds on Telefónica’s experience in the design, integration and operation of audiovisual projects for broadcasters, OTT platforms, sports organizations, enterprises, institutions and public administrations.
Its modular architecture enables organizations to adopt specific capabilities or undertake broader modernization, outsourcing and audiovisual operations transition projects.
Through managed service and pay-per-use models, clients can access specialized technology and expertise, deploy solutions within their own facilities or combine both approaches depending on their technical, operational and financial requirements.
The platform has been designed to scale progressively, integrate technologies from different vendors and adapt to both new projects and existing infrastructures.
With the TSAmediaHUB Experience, Telefónica reinforces its position as a technology and operations partner for the transformation of the audiovisual industry. The combination of infrastructure, connectivity, technology, artificial intelligence and specialized operations enables organizations to evolve toward more efficient, secure, flexible and scalable audiovisual management models.
