Telefónica has been awarded the tender for the integration of Studio 2 of the Valencian Media Corporation (CVMC)

The project, which will be implemented by TSA, includes the installation and integration of the equipment of Television Studio 2, which is 400 m2 in size and forms part of the Burjassot Programme Production Centre (C.P.P. in its Spanish initials), owned by the CVMC.

TSA will thus provide the installation and integration service for Studio 2 (a multi-purpose studio with a 400 m2 set with its corresponding Production, Sound and Image Control Rooms), in order to renew and update the image, sound, lighting and control systems towards a high definition (HD) technology programme production environment and it will implement the programme production work at this Studio as soon and securely as possible, especially taking into account the public service nature of the CVMC.

The fundamental reason for Studio 2 update is the facility equipment obsolescence, so it was decided to invest in the changeover to high definition (HD) broadcast quality. TSA’s technological challenge will be the comprenhensive installation and integration of the studio itself, adapting it to digital image technology, and ensuring that the whole production chain works in HD, thus eliminating the continuous conversions from SD to HD and vice versa that ultimately affects the final quality of the signal.

TSA is therefore responsible for the total installation and integration of Studio 2, including the equipment previously acquired in other tenders, its correct usage in the set, the production control room, sound control, CCI and equipment room, as well as all the equipment engineering design, the audiovisual planimetry, the glue environment, and all the necessary elements such as patches, racks, set enclosures, etc. or other material necessary for the Studio to be fully integrated and operational within CVMC’s audiovisual system.

The equipment supply belonging to the various necessary audiovisual systems for the launch of the studio was contracted through other tenders. Within this remodelling, TSA will thus be responsible for installing and integrating everything, in such a way that they are fully functional and with optimum operability. The equipment will be integrated within Studio 2, as well as externally with the other studios and technical controls of the audiovisual production system of the Burjassot C.P.P. (especially with Studios 3 and 4).

The tender also includes that once the installation phase is completed, the training phase begins along with the configuration of the systems. A complete training plan in both the technical and operational fields guarantees the full operation of the project, as well as the description of the solutions adopted and the installations carried out.
