The UNED entrusts TSA with its new document management system with AI
Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) has been awarded the project for the supply and implementation of an innovative document management system at UNED Media, designed to optimise the management of its multimedia content through advanced artificial intelligence technologies.
The new system provides the UNED with a comprehensive solution to manage all processes related to its content, covering ingestion, quality control, transcoding, and cataloguing, up to exportation. All this is achieved through automated workflows with artificial intelligence tailored to its specific needs.

Among the most notable features of this solution is its ability to automatically generate an initial level of document cataloguing through the use of artificial intelligence. The system can analyse the content of the material and generate metadata based on a predefined schema, incorporating keywords, text recognition (OCR), facial and voice recognition, as well as geolocation data.
Additionally, the document management system allows for the organisation of image repositories and the management of editorial information associated with each imported multimedia resource, whether proprietary or third-party, including details such as titles and synopses. It also automatically generates subtitles and transcriptions to ensure content accessibility and simplifies the export and import of metadata schemas using models adapted to UNED standards.
For the UNED, this project carried out with TSA represents a significant step forward in modernising its document management systems. It integrates intelligent technologies that transform how educational content is managed, providing an innovative solution to address the challenges of digital education.
Through this initiative, TSA strengthens its commitment to the digitalisation and optimisation of workflows in educational environments, offering technological solutions that enhance the accessibility, efficiency, and organisation of content.
