On October 17th, Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) successfully held its VI Audiovisual Workshop, an annual event that brings together leading figures in the media and broadcast sector in Peru. With more than 40 attendees, including the main broadcasters in the Andean country and key entities in the industry, the event focused on showcasing the latest technological innovations in the media sector, always with an emphasis on innovation.

During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn about solutions and technological advances that promise to improve workflows in the audiovisual industry, enhancing productivity and facilitating the integration of new systems. The day began with a welcome from our Director of Audiovisual Services and Platforms, José Luis Garcia Cabrera, followed by an introduction to TSA’s IP2110 projects and its innovation initiatives led by TSA Peru’s Manager and Business Development Director, Asier Anitua.

Among the topics covered were artificial intelligence solutions for media, with private cloud deployment, thanks to TSAmediaHUB. This new TSA service for professional media management integrates various innovative audiovisual technologies into our Cloud platform to offer clients a specialised service without the disadvantages of large hyperscalers. In this section, a key connection was made with Etiqmedia, which presented its advanced artificial intelligence solutions for indexing, real-time analysis, and archiving of audiovisual content. The Etiqmedia platform enables automated tasks such as facial recognition, object detection, automatic transcription, and searching for untagged content through its analysis and processing engine. These capabilities are seamlessly integrated into TSAmediaHUB, strengthening the advanced media management services offered in the cloud.

In addition, event partners Sony, GV Media, and Harmonic shared their knowledge and experiences with attendees. Sony presented its Networked Live solution for remote and cloud production, highlighting resource orchestration and hybrid IP/SDI control. GV Media, meanwhile, addressed the industry’s transformation with its open ecosystem, GV Media Universe, promoting greater flexibility in workflows. Harmonic focused on the evolution of cloud content distribution and how its monetisation and innovation solutions are driving the media and PayTV industry.

The event concluded with a cocktail reception, offering attendees an opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the topics covered. TSA’s VI Audiovisual Workshop reaffirms the company’s commitment to innovation and technological development in the media broadcast sector.
