TSA manages the services and activities associated with the Armuña Teleport, to date operated by Telefónica de España

Telefónica has decided to entrust TSA with the management of the Armuña Teleport in Guadalajara starting this April. TSA has more than 25 years of experience in teleport services, which will allow it to expand and enhance the traditional services of the audiovisual sector, as well as data and communications services, until now offered by Telefónica de España, while also opening the possibility of expanding new services to reach more clients.

The teleport placed in the municipality of Armuña de Tajuña, is located in an area of minimal seismic risk and free of radio-electrical interference, with access to 40 orbital positions. It has more than 25 hectares of land and a constructed area of 12,000 m2, optical ground transport for 3 diversified routes, and more than 90 broadcasting and receiving antennas pointed at the main satellite operators such as Hispasat, Eutelsat, Intelsat, Astra etc.

Using TSA’s hybrid communications network, consisting of satellite, fibre and internet, global coverage will be provided for global broadcasting of satellite distribution and reception services for permanent and occasional TV and radio channels, as well as satellite and broadband internet services, LAN, telephony and data all over the world.

From the Armuña teleport, TSA will manage, among other things, the most important DTH in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as multiple services within the Telefónica group.
