TSA was the successful awardee for the Audio and News Management System (SGAN) lot for Canary Islands Public Radio.

Canary Islands Public Radio was in search of a Digital Radio Production System with the aim of renewing and replacing the system currently in place; a system that would integrate all the tools involved in the production processes of radio programmes and, in turn, would allow effective diffusion using the new ways in which listeners acquire content, that is, through social networks and the Internet.

To achieve these objectives, the Canary Islands Public Radio (RPC) launched a tender process at the end of last year to hire out the supply and installation of new technical equipment, both software and hardware, needed to perform the technological renovation for the updating of the digital newsroom and to integrate it into new technologies and social networks. In addition, the RPC requested the renewal/adaptation and acquisition of technical audio equipment to guarantee the operation and broadcasting of the radio stations of Canary Islands Public Radio. Together with the supply and installation, the project included the commissioning, as well as the training for technical and operational users, and the maintenance for five years.

The project was divided into three lots with TSA being awarded Lot 1: Audio and news management system (SGAN), where Radio Canarias requested a Digital Radio Production System with the aim of renewing and replacing the system currently in place; with the goal of achieving the improvements related to integrated production and spreading on social networks.

To respond to this request, TSA opted for a Digital Radio Production System, which incorporates Radio and multimedia tools, as well as News production/broadcast with advanced Audio capabilities, based on a Media Management System (MAM).

TSA opted for a manufacturer with which it has a long and profitable history of collaboration (RNE, RTPA, CVMC, etc.), because it is the only one in the world that offers a convergent system, where Radio, TV and Multimedia systems can take advantage of the different intake, production, broadcasting and distribution tools for all its areas within the same system.

RPC has especially appreciate the ability to deploy a centralised and shared storage between its two main venues using this system. It has considered the strength, scalability and flexibility of the solution to adapt to the work flows that RPC needed. A system that is capable of managing the global production life cycle for enhanced multimedia content (audio, text, objects) from acquisition to editing, from programming to broadcasting. It is a solution that, thanks to its versatility, features advanced tools for integrated video and audio production.
