The successful production enabled real-time conversation between two physical locations through the projection of a 3D hologram, immersively connecting the two spaces.

Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) carried out an innovative virtual production with holography for a prominent European business forum held in Madrid. The project allowed two distant physical spaces to be connected in real time via the projection of a 3D hologram, creating an immersive and impactful experience for attendees.

Cutting-edge technology for holographic events

For this production, TSA used a Canon EOS C400 camera alongside a Mo-Sys StarTracker Max tracking system, capable of capturing and tracking set movements with millimetre precision. The technical team placed more than 500 markers on the floor to ensure perfect alignment of the hologram with the physical environment.

The image was rendered in real time using the Brainstorm Edison Pro virtual production software, which generated three-dimensional environments synchronised with the camera movements. These environments were later processed in Unreal Engine, achieving a photorealistic finish with advanced lighting and textures that enhanced the sensation of remote presence.

An immersive experience from start to finish

The technical setup included a Vmix mixer and a Yamaha sound desk for managing video and audio signals, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted transmission. Additionally, the tracking system was discreetly integrated with the room’s aesthetics, while maintaining the precision and stability required for proper hologram visualisation.

The value of holography in corporate events

This type of audiovisual solution overcomes physical barriers between speakers and audiences, enabling more direct, engaging, and flexible communication. Virtual production with holography offers cinematic quality and technical adaptability, making it a key tool for the future of corporate, institutional, and educational communication.

Thanks to the collaboration of Moncada y Lorenzo and Brainstorm, and the use of advanced technologies such as Edison Pro, Unreal Engine, and Mo-Sys, it was possible to deliver a high-level production that showcases the transformative power of audiovisual innovation applied to live events.
