Spain

In the third edition of its awards, TM Broadcast magazine presented Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) with four awards in recognition of its work in the audiovisual sector.

The awards granted by the magazine, born in 2020, aim to highlight the most relevant broadcast projects carried out by the sector companies in Spain. Through the different categories included, TM Broadcast manages to increase the visibility of a constantly evolving industry, promoting the implementation of the latest technologies and the search for innovative solutions.

On this occasion, the jury, made up of six broadcast sector experts with extensive experience, recognized TSA’s work in four different categories:

  • Best Infrastructure Renewal Project
  • Best Archive Integration
  • Best IP Technology Integration Project
  • Best Broadcast Project

Canal Sur was the winner in the categories of Best Infrastructure Renovation Project and Best Archive Integration. A project that represents a before and after in technological innovation, as it integrates all its infrastructure outside the client’s facilities, in a Telefónica Private Cloud; as well as representing the leap to HD high definition for the Andalusian regional broadcaster.

In the category of Best IP Integration Project, the award went to the project for the transition of Telemadrid’s television studios to an IP environment. This renovation provides Madrilian TV network with a more flexible infrastructure and new production controls, which can be quickly and automatically assigned to any set.

The award for Best Radio Project goes to the project to renovate EiTB’s production systems, part of the Basque production company’s Digital Transformation Plan. An update that includes the replacement of obsolete equipment and the incorporation of new functionalities that facilitate, amongst others, the management of multimedia content on various platforms.

In addition, the magazine recognizes special mention in the category of best OTT project, to the project carried out by Telefónica for Ciudad Real. A strategic project for the revitalization of rural commerce through an OTT platform that represents a breakthrough in the world of video, as it means the democratization of this product beyond the Broadcast and entertainment sector.

It is also remarkable the award to our colleagues from TBS in the category of best remote technical production. Once again, this recognition demonstrates Telefónica Group’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Finally, we would like to thank TM Broadcast for allowing us to participate once again in these awards, which represent a TSA recognition of its trajectory in the audiovisual sector, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the industry through innovative projects focused on the implementation of the latest technologies.
