For this, it counts on Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA), to whom it awards the development, integration and commissioning of the project.

As a public university reference center in the Community of Madrid, with a wide academic offer in degree and post-degree education, Rey Juan Carlos University highlights the quality of its training with the renewal of the audiovisual facility in the Faculty of Communication Sciences, on its Fuenlabrada campus.

The current installation, carried out in 2004, consists of 3 production controls that serve 3 TV sets. Due to the great evolution that audiovisual production technologies have experienced throughout these years, it is convenient to undertake an update of the existing equipment to provide quality training in the creation of programs and communication technologies, in accordance with the requirements of the current market, to future professionals in the sector. In this project, TSA is in charge of renovating the installation of 2 of these recording studios with their corresponding controls and of a third recording set in which the current production control room and the capture system are maintained for the moment.

The project presented by TSA includes, in addition to the supply, installation, integration and commissioning of the new equipment, the dismantling of the two aforementioned studios with the consequent removal of existing equipment and wiring, as well as the manufacturing and installaing of two new tables for the two corresponding production controls.

The new equipment, which includes for the two studios a total of 6 SONY camera chains model HDC-3170 / 4E, with FUJINON ZA17x7.6BRD optics, 4 prompter equipment, 2 Kula video mixers from GRASS VALLEY, 2 units from NEWTEK LiveCG Broadcast SDI for character generation, 2 playout video servers, a 32x32 video matrix from NEVION and glue from ALBALÁ brand, will allow students to obtain a cutting-edge training by having the possibility of accessing the latest technology on the market, from the hand of leading brands in Broadcast sector that have proven experience and reliability in audiovisual installations.

The installation of the two digital studios is completed by equipment for multi-screen monitoring, technical monitoring and a professional sound installation with wireless microphones.

In addition to the integration of the two digital television studios, the project includes the installation of a large cyclorama set in a third TV studio, which includes a 98 ” large-format screen to be installed on a motorized stand with wheels.

It puts an end to the execution of the project, a training proposal considered by TSA of vital importance to guarantee the success of any integration. The teaching staff of the URJC Faculty of Communication Sciences will thereby obtain the necessary skills to know the functioning and operation of each of the installed equipment.
